HIGH FALLS FILM FEST ANIMATION GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT

Animatus is proud to welcome EMILY HUBLEY as this year's animation
guest for the High Falls Film Festival.

EMILY HUBLEY has been making short animated films since 1980 and
providing animation to television, fictional and documentary films for
over a decade. She is a 2004 Annenberg Film Fellow, named by the
Sundance Institute in support of her feature-in-progress THE TOE
TACTIC.

Hubley created artwork and animation for John Cameron Mitchell's
HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH and inserts with Jeremiah Dickey for the
documentaries, ORIGINAL CHILD BOMB (which aired on the Sundance Channel
in August 2005) by Carey Schonegeval, BLUE VINYL, by Judith Helfand and
Daniel Gold and most recently, for BOY IN THE BUBBLE, directed by Barak
Goodman. She is a daughter of animators Faith and John Hubley, and
worked at the Hubley Studio Inc. in several capacities from 1976 -
2001.

"THE OTHER GODS" TRAILER NOW ONLINE

The latest independent horror project from Mike Boas has a trailer

In this adaptation of the H.P. Lovecraft short story, a proud prophet
meets with a tragic end when attempting to meet with the gods of earth.
"The Other Gods" will be premiering October 8th at the H.P. Lovecraft
Film Festival in Portland, Oregon.

CLASSIC ANIMATION AT THE EASTMAN HOUSE

Come out this Tuesday to the George Eastman House to see some classic
animation of the silent era, with live music by Philip C. Carli.

popular "Pioneers of Animation" program from 2004, this fun-filled
program features some of the most innovative, entertaining, and
influential cartoons from the silent era, all preserved by George
Eastman House. Selections include COLONEL HEEZA LIAR, NATURALIST (1914)
and COLONEL HEEZA LIAR, SHIPWRECKED (1916); early cell animation in
BOBBY BUMPS' DISAPPEARING GUN (1917) and BOBBY BUMPS AT THE DENTIST
(1917); Otto Messmer and Pat Sullivan's famous feline in FELIX THE
CAT GETS REVENGE (1922) and FELIX THE CAT KEPT WALKING (1925); Koko the
Clown in the Fleischer Bros.' FALSE ALARM (1923); Gregory LaCava's
ABIE KABIBBLE OUTWITTING HIS RIVAL (1917) and BY THE SEAWAVES (1917),
staring the Katzenjammer Kids; Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in Walt
Disney's SKY SCRAPPERS (1928); and Lotte Reiniger's THE ORNAMENT OF
