Mike Boas and his films are "demented"

From Animatus artist Mike Boas, "H.P. Lovecraft's The Other Gods" is now featured on Animation World Network's "That's Demented" channel.

The AWN Media Center is a new, comprehensive online video portal devoted exclusively to animation and showcasing the work of independent filmmakers from all over the world . When "The Other Gods" was submitted, the powers that be decided it would be a good match for the "That's Demented" channel. Who are we to argue?

But wait, there's more! The Rochester Insider just did a profile of Mike for the August 31 issue. No, his head isn't that big in real life.

Summer Animation now online

Greetings from Animatus!

Just in time for Labor Day, the Summer Animation Workshop videos are now online. Sit back, relax, and watch cartoons on your day off!

There was so much content this time, that we've broken it up into four parts. Part 1 is mostly our basic and intermediate students. Parts 2 and 3 contain studio production projects. The last part is a stand-alone episode of "Super Maintenance Man" by Greg Masceri.

Click through the Flash playlist at http://animatusstudio.com/workshops/studentwork.html

For those who ordered DVD's, they're available for pick-up starting Tuesday, September 4th. We're open from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
